I had to take my VW Atlas Cross Sport in for an engine light that came up. There were a few issues that came up during the repair process and I know I was a difficult customer. However, they were extremely professional during the whole experience and provided good customer service. They fixed the issue and the car is working great. Overall, I am very happy with my experience.

The car purchasing journey can be really confusing and stressful. At Germain Volkswagen of Westerville, I never felt pressured to buy a car or that they were screwing me over. Nick was wonderful to work with during the trade in/leasing of my new VW Tiguan! I also enjoyed my time at the Westerville VW location. I would recommend this salesman and VW location. Edited/updated: This was my initial review directly after purchasing my vehicle. I will still say Nick was a good salesperson to work with. However, after leasing a brand new VW 2026 Tiguan, the service team found that there was a “small” fix that needed to happen for the SOS button and the VW app connection to work. I signed papers on a Saturday then had to give my car back on that following Monday to get serviced, and now two weeks later I still do not have the vehicle that I am paying for and have insurance on. I was made to believe that this would be a simple, quick fix and I would only have a loaner car for maybe a day, which has now turned into 2 weeks of not having my brand new vehicle. I was never update during the two weeks unless I reached out, which I finally got irritated and called for further information than just receiving a text that says it is still being worked on and unsure of when it would be resolved. The information I was given over the phone by the service manager was all the steps that had been taken to try to resolve this issue but this can take weeks to months to get resolved, which again I was never told that and was made to believe it would be a day or two process. The service manager could tell I was beyond frustrated and did offer reimbursement of my payment but again stated that they were unsure of when this would get resolved. This was nice to hear but still not what needed to be done, which was getting my car back that is brand new. I asked to be put in contact with the general manager, which I had asked prior to hearing from the service manager, and then he called me later that day. A conversation was had with the GM and he stated he understood my frustrations but would be in contact in a few days with a resolution. That was Tuesday (of the 2nd week) and I have not heard back (now it is Saturday). I called in yesterday and was told he was not in the office and he would hopefully return my call today. Edit/update: After 3 weeks of not having my brand new car, I can finally say I got it back! I also received a refund for my 1st month’s payment for the inconvenience. If you read the edited part above, after getting a call back from the manager that Saturday and saying they were willing to get me into a new vehicle if necessary but hopeful my car would be done early in the week. I then continued to never receive updates unless I asked or called. I finally went into the office and made it clear it needed to be resolved by end of week or I needed a new car or a cancelled contract, and I would then be leaving VW and getting a car elsewhere. Finally got good news 2 days later that my car was fixed and I would get reimbursed for my 1st payment. During this entire process I worked with: - Sales- Nick -service manager- Jarid - general manager- Dennis - service- Chase Other than Nick (because sales really had nothing to do with this situation), there was a lack of/poor communication from these VW employees until I started threatening terminating and going elsewhere. I was truly disappointed in this aspect of the situation, as I understand this was no one’s fault other than VW America. For some reason the connection in the cars doesn’t happen until after it is already on the lot and that is what caused the issue in the first place. If you plan to buy a VW car, I was told that the 2027’s will be connected before entering the lot, but please check before signing papers and taking the car off the lot. Overall, I can’t say I would or wouldn’t recommend this location at this point. This situation was by far the most frustrating situation I have dealt with as far as leasing a car in my life. It felt like I was being strung along when there might not have never been a resolution. I am hopeful to have no future issues with this car and in 3 years, hope to be able to lease from VW again, but time will tell.

Great experience with an oil change service for my VW Tiguan. The waiting room was comfortable and the staff very courteous. While the technician found other possible repairs, I was not pressured to move forward with them.

I had a great experience buying my new Tiguan here! Luke was fantastic to work with—friendly, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. He helped me get the absolute best price without any pressure to buy extras I didn’t need, which I really appreciated. There was a small chip on the car when it was delivered, but Germain is making it right. I would definitely recommend Luke and his team. Wonderful experience all around!

Brad and my husband communicated via text leading up to our appointment and he was very quick to respond. When we arrived at the dealership Brad was very welcoming and listened to what we wanted to achieve by the end of the sale and he worked very hard to make that happen. We are pleased with the service he provided. Brad is very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the process. Ask for Brad, he will get the job done.

Mykohl took care of me when I brought my 2019 atlas in for service. They get you and out for it to be a Saturday. Shout the two porters Jeff and I don't remember the other gentleman's name but they did a great job taking care of me. I maybe a long time customer because of the service I received. Side note we just need to get better snacks in the waiting area.

He explained they were experiencing some staffing issues and would have to reschedule, so I asked if we could just wait a bit to see if anyone with the proper certification would be coming in. 10 minutes later he told me someone would take care of this today to save me another 45 minute trip at a later date. They performed a complimentary inspection and wash of the car after they finished as well. The place was clean, the staff were nice, and the service was great. Definitely a wonderful experience.

While healing from the wreck, Luke helped us navigate insurance and gap insurance to get it paid it off. Then he helped us walk out of there with a brand new car, stress free. We told him our non negotiable features and now have the perfect car for our family. Thanks to him and Chris, the finance manager, making it so easy on us to replace our loss with a brand new car! Our family will be customers for life! We told them we will be back but not until our preteen needs a car.

Nick in sales and Chris in finance were exceptional. They both went above and beyond in providing service and care. We are now Germain customers for life!

If you own a VW or any other brand (*which we learned that they service ALL vehicles), you need to set up your next service appointment with them and see for yourself what great people they and the good work that they do.

Great location and super friendly!! Clean environment and i felt very comfortable with the experience. No surprises!

They are very professional, did quality work so we are pleased. The only complaint was that they had it to repair for 12 days, but they said it was because of not having the required parts. Maybe before you take it for recalls first verify that the parts are there. Not uncommon I guess to have to wait on parts anywhere you go, the same thing happened with our Ram truck. Very nice facility!

We put a $1,000 deposit on a used Chrysler that was represented to us as a very clean, low-mileage vehicle in great condition. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly once we insisted on having the vehicle independently inspected. When we first visited, the vehicle was on a lift having brake work performed. During the sales process, everyone was friendly, and we were repeatedly told how clean the vehicle was and that it had gone through the dealership’s thorough inspection process. After placing our deposit, I explained that I wanted to take the vehicle on the freeway and have an independent pre-purchase inspection completed. The salesperson seemed resistant to that idea and emphasized that their technicians had already inspected it. I was even offered the opportunity to speak with one of their mechanics if that would make me feel more comfortable. I still insisted on an independent inspection. I specifically explained that finding some issues would not necessarily be a deal breaker. We simply wanted to know about them before paying another $189 for an inspection and before completing the purchase. I directly asked whether there were any known issues we needed to know about and was told there were not. The independent inspection found grease leaking from two inner CV axle boots, along with seepage around a drivetrain component. The vehicle was also approaching several recommended maintenance services. Based on the inspection findings and the maintenance coming due, our research indicated that we could soon be facing approximately $2,500–$3,000 in repairs and service. I sent the inspection report and photographs to a manager and asked to have a reasonable conversation about the findings. At that point, the friendliness seemed to disappear. Despite the vehicle having supposedly passed a thorough dealership inspection, they would not offer even $200 toward the CV axle issue or any of the upcoming work. We were told, in effect, that there was too much interest in the vehicle for them to make an accommodation. We were even led to believe by the manager that his costs to make the repair is the same as ours. Having spent 5 years in a repair shop, and having an MBA, I know how misleading this type of tactic truly was. My biggest concern was not simply that a used vehicle needed maintenance. Used vehicles often do. The problem was that we repeatedly asked about its condition, were assured that there were no issues, and felt discouraged from obtaining the independent inspection that ultimately uncovered them. We did receive our deposit back, but we cannot get back the time, inspection cost, travel, and energy we invested. We live more than an hour away and made this trip multiple times believing the dealership’s representations about the vehicle. The lesson from our experience is simple: regardless of how clean a vehicle is said to be or how thorough the dealership says its inspection was, get an independent pre-purchase inspection. Had we relied solely on what we were told, we may have purchased this vehicle without knowing about these concerns.
